Luis Alvarez (1911-1988) was a physicist and inventor.
FAST FACTS:
- Worked in the field of optics and cosmic rays and co-discovered the “East-West” effect
- He also focused on nuclear physics and demonstrated the existence of K-electron capture by the nuclei
