Hypatia of Alexander ([approx.] 350 – 415) was an astronomer, mathematician, and philosopher.
FAST FACTS:
- Known as the first women to study math, philosophy and astronomy
- It is thought that Hypatia was actually the one to establish an earth-centric universe that was later overturned by Copernicus and Galileo
- She taught philosophy to many different people
- She was murdered because of her philosophical beliefs
