Dr. Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay (1968-) is a computational biologist.

- She received the Infosys Prize in 2017 in Engineering and Computer Science for her research in algorithmic optimization and for its impact on biological data analysis.
- Her work led to the discovery of a genetic marker for breast cancer and the role of white blood cells in Alzheimer’s disease
- Some of Bandyopadhyay’s current research interests are soft and evolutionary computation, pattern recognition, and data mining.
