Wombats

April 5, 2023

This month, Alex is talking about an animal that spends a lot of its time underground. Even though they’re very large animals, they’ve got a lot to worry about where they’re from. Did you know they’re marsupials? Kangaroos or koalas would be a good guess but we already covered those! Join Alex as we head to the forests of Australia to talk about wombats.

“Because of their digging lifestyle wombats are known as ecosystem engineers. Basically, they help to improve the landscape for all sorts of organisms.”
